Which way do you sew your seams in a rag quilt?
When you are sewing the squares (blocks) together do you have the seam towards one way and sew over that? or Do you open the seam and sew on each side of the seam? Then clip the seams afterwards. Thank you B.

Hi Bethan,

When I made my rag quilt, I had my seams going one way and then clipped. It gave me a fuller rag effect.

I did mine with all seams to the top, then clipped. The back is then flat.

Right Pat, that is what I did too.

How was your trip to chilly Florida?

Hubby and I are planning a trip to Tennyssee and then onto to Myrtle Beach near the end of March. Hope the weather is warmer by then.

I sew my seams at intersections open and then clip as close to the intersection as possible. On the outside as you would expect for a rag quilt.
