Michelle, I would like to know if you could help me? The thread is the same top & bottom & new needle. I have set the tension up & down , but STILL I have loops under the fabric. So what so I do???I want to give up & just sew it any ways. If I can't get it right I'll just keep on my way with the loops. Jenny Ray

I just recently received a quilt that my great grandmother started probably over ten years ago. She just recently passed away and her quilt pieces were given to me. The problem is it is not complete and I am not sure if the fabric is totally 100% cotton and if I can use mix blends and 100% cotton. This is my first quilt and the only other time i have ever quilted was probably 12+ years ago with my great grandmother. Thanks for any advice.

Hi Shirley! Eleanor Burns has some great books in her Quilt in a Day series. I've used her log cabin book - instructions are terrific - pictues, pattern illustrations for all different size quilts from lap/crib to king. I'm sure you can find them on Amazon.com Read her bio when you get a chance - another success story! Good luck!

Hi everyone! I'm new to your website/chat room, and really hope it's an active one - it's hard for me to find others with similar interests - Does anyone have advice on numbering and paper piecing a lotus blossom flower (stylized)? I have a quilt pattern that recommends using templates to cut and sew but I think paper piecing will make the pieces more uniform..... Thanks for any advice you can provide!
